SOULDIVER
TO ERR IS HUMAN; TO FORGIVE, DIVINE; TO DISTURB ONE’S SOUL IS INDEED UNKIND
I hear your breathing…I know you’re there…don’t be afraid…I’m here to help…let me help you before it’s too late…grab my hand...I’ll bring you home.
These words have now become common in my day-to-day life. I’ve been thrust into a world that I never thought was real or possible. A world I was taught to fear as mere folklore made up to keep children disciplined–fear of what might be lying in the dark waiting to tear me to shreds or take me away from my loved ones never to be seen again.
Listen to me very carefully; the supernatural is real. If you don’t believe me then you are just like me–a willing participant in a world that lay parallel to the spiritual world. Beyond, but yet connected and feeding off the world we know. It thrives by feeding off your fears–my fears–until it reaches into our world and calls it home, enveloping you into its sinister web of horror.
I didn’t choose this job. It was forced upon me like many things here that I frequently encounter. If you are reading this entry in my journal then something drastic must have happened to me. Hopefully, I can endeavor through these supernatural events comprised of phantoms, ghouls and demons in order to retrieve my abducted husband who waits for me to save him in the supernatural world.
My name is Araceli Hartford. I am a loving wife and former nonbeliever in the spirit world. I was thrown in with my husband’s ragtag team of paranormal treasure hunters in a race to rescue him from an evil entity that took him from our world. It will trap and torment him for all eternity, if we don’t retrieve him within 48 hours. That’s how it all started for me but my journey is just beginning, so I’m told.
This adventure has transformed me from a steadfast wife with strong faith to a believer in the supernatural world and a force of good to keep evil spirits at bay. Little did I know this was my destiny. To be feared by spirits, demons and whatever else lies in the dark and unknown spirit world–but most of all, I am here to protect. Protect you who sleep at night and dream.
